These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website https://charliebrownsgastropubs.co.uk/ (“Website”) and the services offered by Charlie Brown’s Gastro Pub (“we”, “us”, “our”), including dining, events, private hire and bookings at our premises located at 199 Ashley Rd, Hale, Altrincham WA15 9SH.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our Website and/or making a booking with us, you accept and agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Website or make a booking. We reserve the right to update or revise these Terms at any time, and your continued use following publication of changes means you accept those changes.

2. Bookings, Deposits & Payments

2.1 Bookings can be made via the Website, phone or email, subject to availability.
2.2 For certain bookings (including private dining, event hire, Christmas parties and large groups) we may require a deposit and/or minimum spend. The deposit and/or minimum spend will be confirmed in writing at time of booking.
2.3 Full payment or final balance may be required prior to the event or on arrival; we reserve the right to ask for payment in advance.
2.4 If the agreed minimum spend is not met on the day of the event, you may be liable to pay the shortfall, which is non-transferable and non-refundable.

3. Cancellations & Changes

3.1 Cancellations or date changes must be made in writing (via email) to info@charliebrownsgastropubs.co.uk.
3.2 For events/private hire:

  • If cancellation is received more than [insert number] days before the event, deposit is refunded (if applicable) minus any costs incurred.
  • If cancellation is received within [insert number] days of the event, we may retain the deposit or require full payment.
  • If no notice is given (“no-show”), we may charge the full cost of the booking.
    3.3 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking for operational, safety or regulatory reasons. In such case we will notify you and provide alternatives or refund your deposit where appropriate.

4. Your Responsibilities & Conduct

4.1 You agree to arrive at the time specified for your booking. If you are late, we may release the table after a grace period (commonly 15 minutes) and treat as cancellation or partial cancellation.
4.2 For private hire, you are responsible for the conduct of your party and any damage caused to the premises or equipment during your booking; costs will be charged accordingly.
4.3 We reserve the right to refuse service and/or entry to any person who appears intoxicated, is abusive or fails to comply with our policies.
4.4 Children are welcome in certain areas; however children may need to vacate by a specified time depending on the booking, event or age policy.
4.5 We operate a dress code: Please dress appropriately for our venue; no sports attire (e.g., football shirts), no excessively casual wear, no balloons, sashes or confetti without prior arrangement. We reserve the right to refuse entry based on dress standards.

5. Private & Event Hire Specific Terms

5.1 Venue hire and private dining bookings are subject to: minimum guest numbers, minimum spend, deposits, room hire fees and cancellation terms which will be confirmed in writing.
5.2 Menus, drinks packages, décor, entertainment and additional services may be offered; changes to guest numbers, menus or spend must be confirmed in writing within the timeframe stated at booking.
5.3 If guest numbers reduce below a specified threshold without agreed variation, we reserve the right to re-quote or charge the shortfall to meet minimum requirements.
5.4 All outside decorations, equipment or third-party suppliers must be approved by us in advance; we are not responsible for loss or damage to equipment brought in.
5.5 For larger group bookings and corporate events, agent or third-party bookings must provide contact details, agree to these Terms and guarantee payment as the principal party.

6. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

6.1 We request that you inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking and again on arrival. We will endeavour to accommodate your needs, but cannot guarantee any dish is entirely free from allergens due to shared kitchen environments.
6.2 We accept no liability for adverse reactions by guests who fail to inform us in advance.

7. Website Use & Content

7.1 The Website’s content is for general information only and may be updated or changed without notice.
7.2 All booking confirmations, promotional offers and pricing are subject to availability and may vary.
7.3 We make reasonable efforts to ensure menu and pricing accuracy, but reserve the right to make changes without prior notice (for instance due to supply issues or regulatory reasons).

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Charlie Brown’s Gastro Pub, its directors, employees and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of our Website or attendance at our venue.
8.2 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or other liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

The Website, its design, text, graphics and underlying code are our property or licensed to us and are protected by copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property rights. You may not reproduce, adapt, transmit or use content from the Website without our prior written consent.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

The Website may link to external sites or use third-party service providers (e.g., booking platforms, payment gateways). We are not responsible for the content or policies of those external sites.
